Theme Giant Bulb – Color my day – Tulips
The tulip represents a celebration for Ineke, the chalice resembles a glass that you can drink from or a balloon. She especially love color and have let the colors speak. Each tulip is unique and not one is the same. She had worked with mixed media to display the organic content of it an developed the tulips in such a way that each tulip has become a work of art in itself. For her, the tulip also symbolizes a new beginning, a new season and new life. The way the sun shines on the tulip bulbs stand on the land, so she tried to catch the sun on the bulb.
Artist – Ineke Huijerman
Ineke was born in Haarlem and moved to De Zilk. She completed her training as a visual artist in 2014 at the Academy of arts in Haarlem-Leiden. She makes both figurative and abstract work with her own signature. Various themes she works on are abstract flower paintings and botanical drawings, abstract work including dream landscapes, wall paintings, commissioned work or portraits are also possible. It cannot be placed in one box. She wants to continue to surprise and discover with something new every time.
