In 1946 Jo van den Bos passionately started his ‘trade in flower bulbs and side businesses’ from his home in Maasdijk. This has grown into an innovative and international network.
The beautiful products, the history, and the appropriate slogan of the organization ‘where passion comes to bloom’ inspired Nicoline for the theme of this Giant Tulip Bulb.
On the bulb you see a variety of the roselily, lily, freesia, and calla, of which the company is a leader in the preparation, storage and export. For Nicoline, the Giant Bulb symbolizes the globe on which the organization connects its branches around the world.
Artist – Nicoline de Lijzer
Nicoline always had a great passion for realistic drawing from an early age. The love for painting started in 2017 when she participated in a painting workshop where she discovered that realistic painting was also within her reach. From that moment on, painting took over and she made several paintings with her own unique style. For example, Nicoline paints portraits, birds, angels, and bull skulls with the recurring rosaries. When she won a prize for her tulip painting ‘Look closer!’ during the painting competition ‘Kleurenpracht 2023’, organized by Museum De Zwarte Tulp, Nicoline started to focus more on painting flowers and her passion for painting flowers really began.
