Theme Giant bulb – Flying in full bloom

Flowers are a great inspiration for Donna. Especially the colorful fields of tulips around Lisse. Spring in this region is a joy to behold. As she has flown overseas to the Netherlands, Dutch flowers fly all over the world. As do her figures. On the front of the bulb a couple spread their red tulip wings. Connected by flowing lines and blossoming romance. On the other side, an orange female figure rises from a bloom with pink tulip wings. Symbolic for the Netherlands, spreading beauty and happiness abroad. Through flowers. The whole is painted in her signature style, using fresh spring colors.

“My preference is uplifting art. I capture beautiful moments in a minimalistic way. A sensation or strong emotion. Some experiences are precious and special. Then I am only aware of the here and now. Those are the moments I want to share. Colorful, sleek, and extremely precise in oil paint. ” The characteristic line figures with spiral face are also available in sculpture form. The same smooth lines rendered in materials such as bronze, aluminum and steel are made in her studio in Zandvoort
