Thema Reuzenbol – Jubilee Bulb
This ‘Jubilee Bulb’ marks 125 years of family history at Lubbe Lisse. The bulb features both the Actaea poet’s daffodil, bred by Gerardus, the first generation of the company, and the Felicitas daffodil. Actaea is a recurring theme in their history and is valued for its timeless appeal. To mark the 125th anniversary, Martine and Elles presented their husbands with the Felicitas daffodil as a surprise gift. Michael and Ronald jointly christened this naturalised daffodil: a strong, hardy and durable flower that, like the family business, returns vigorously every year.
Artist – Nicoline de Lijzer
Nicoline always had a great passion for realistic drawing from an early age. The love for painting started in 2017 when she participated in a painting workshop where she discovered that realistic painting was also within her reach. From that moment on, painting took over and she made several paintings with her own unique style. For example, Nicoline paints portraits, birds, angels, and bull skulls with the recurring rosaries. When she won a prize for her tulip painting ‘Look closer!’ during the painting competition ‘Kleurenpracht 2023’, organized by Museum De Zwarte Tulp, Nicoline started to focus more on painting flowers and her passion for painting flowers really began.
