As a child of a bulb grower Iet often helped in the fields. During the work she heard the birds sing and she saw them flying high above her in the blue sky. Free! To her flower bulbs are connected to these memories and so to freedom
Artist – Iet Langeveld
Iet Langeveld (1965) paints in her own, direct way. She paints her paintings; portraits, landscapes, still lives, mostly figuratively, sometimes with a hint of abstractism. Her greatest love and constant challenge is capturing the essence of a person or its surroundings in paintings. Her paintings tell a story and if you let them, they will talk to you for themselves. She participated in various projects, such as ‘Broadland’ and ‘Art in the Fields’ and her paintings are to be seen in private collections in the Netherlands as well as abroad.
