Theme Giant Tulip Bulb – Assured a trusted feeling

This Giant Tulip Bulb was painted to mark the 80th anniversary of Endema Keijzers Verzekeringen, founded in 1946. Ever since its foundation, just after the Second World War, this family business has been centred on one core value: trust. Trust that is built through personal attention, genuine commitment and the cultivation of long-term relationships. That trust brings people together. It connects people with one another, entrepreneurs with their future, and the organisation with the region. That connection is evident in the paintings on this bulb. On one side, you can see the river Spaarne in Haarlem depicted, with the distinctive ‘De Adriaan’ windmill and the sightseeing boats on the water. A city that symbolises the company’s origins. A car from Endema Keijzers Verzekeringen drives across the bulb; every year, it takes part in the Flower Parade from Noordwijk to Haarlem. The car seems to make a circuit of the bulb which is a reference to their involvement with the region and its traditions. If you look further, the journey takes you to the village of De Zilk. The Keijzers family hails from this village. You can recognise De Zilk by its beautiful blue hyacinth fields, the church, the hard-working bulb growers and the dunes on the horizon. Here, the connection with De Zilk and the Bollenstreek becomes evident. And if you look closely, you’ll spot a little owl perched on a branch in one of the two large trees. A subtle nod to the past: the little owl was the logo of Endema Keijzers Verzekeringen in the past. Endema Keijzers Verzekeringen is, and always will be, a company where trust comes first. With their roots in Haarlem and a strong presence in the Bollenstreek, they feel closely connected to the city of Haarlem and the surrounding agricultural regions.
